Launching in 2026 by Nexus Foundation, NEX is the native token of the Nexus blockchain. Nexus is a blockchain purpose-built for performant exchange infrastructure and verifiable computation. Its architecture combines three layers — an Execution Layer, a Consensus Layer, and a Verifiability Layer – with specialized financial co-processors.
NEX has three primary uses on the Nexus network.
First, NEX is used to pay for transactions and gas on the Nexus Layer 1 blockchain.
Second, NEX is used to pay for verifiable compute jobs on the Nexus compute network.
